Who am I and why am I here?
I am a second year masters student under the MSIT-VLIS (Very Large-Scale Information Systems) program. I am and have been working on OAQA (Open Advancement of Question Answering) under Professor Eric Nyberg on and off for the past year. I am taking SPLODD to learn about structured prediction and adapting these techniques to perform build and adapt Information Extractors for QA in new domains.
Not so awesome super powers
I have been working with UIMA quite a bit under the OAQA project and may have some insights on using UIMA as the information processing architecture for various tasks.
Project Idea
Building domain specific NERs by using information from domain-generation annotations
