Who am I and why am I here?

I am a second year master's student at LTI. I am interested in working on problems that have an application of language technologies. This course offers me an interesting opportunity to learn about recent developments in the field of machine learning for structure prediction and its application to language technologies.

Having worked on statistical machine translation, I believe structure prediction in the domain of language is an exciting research area. I am currently working on letter to phoneme conversion for speech recognition with Prof. Alex Rudnicky.
