Who am I and why am I here?

I'm a second-year Master student of Language Technologies Institute , School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University . My advisor is Carolyn Penstein Rose . Prior to CMU, I got my Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Peking University in 2011.

I have been dealing with social media problems for some time, and with boosting of companies like tweeter and facebook, I believe the analysis of social media is an important as well as interesting research topic now.


What I want to get out of the class?

I think I can get a more comprehensive view about the area of social media and I can know what are the challenging problems and how we address it currently.
