Hi my name is Natasha Loghmanpour and I am a 2nd year PhD student in the Biomedical Engineering department. My research focuses on applying data mining and machine learning techniques to designing clinical decision support tools for end-stage heart failure patients. I am taking this course since a component of my research is to create a social network for heart failure patients who receive medical devices (such as a ventricular assist device).
I am open to different topics for project, but I am (of course) interested in projects with a medical application, social media for patients, or even a natural language processing study.
