About me
I am a first year Masters student in Very Large Information Systems. I did my undergrad in Computer Science from BITS Pilani and worked at Amazon's India development centre for a couple of years.
Why I am taking this course
My interests for taking this course is to learn about the current research in this area - the different problems people are trying to solve. I also hope to learn different basic methods in current use for analyzing social media.
Project Interest
After reading some papers and suggested reviews about the 2 main topics of the course: Sentiment analysis and Networks, I would like to work on the networks part.
One of my rough idea for project was using the wikipedia graph structure to aid in classification as it can help in capturing the relatedness of terms. I have been reading some papers on this and have found quite a bit of relevant literature to which i can point you to if interested.
