Definition
- Adaptation is the evolutionary process whereby a population becomes better suited to its habitat.
- Under behavioral adaptation, individuals align their behavior with what is typical for their social environment,responding to the greater number of more diverse social opportunities of a large city by expanding their social networks, and reducing them accordingly when moving to rural areas.
