I am a PhD student at Heinz working with Prof. Daniel Neill in area of machine learning and policy. Specifically, my interest is in developing statistical, computational, machine learning approaches to pattern detection in network data. Currently, I am trying to learn graph structure for anomaly detection in the area of disease survelliance.

My interest in the course is more in the Networks part of the Venn diagram, but would like to apply the techniques in the context of social networks and media networks.
