• This work looks like a natural extension to the Bunescu and Mooney HLT '05.

• This paper focuses on relation extraction problem by decomposing a relation kernel into three sub-kernels (corresponding to fore-between, between, between-after patterns).

• Surprisingly, there is little mention of the effect of varying decay factor on the performance since it has been used to penalize the wide gaps between entities and long subsequences.
