Citation Matching is the problem of identifying if two citations are essentially the same despite some differences in the order of the meta-information entities(title,authors,venue,etc) or the entities themselves (e.g. Mooney, RJ vs Mooney, Raymond etc.)

One of the paper attempting this problem using Markov Logic Networks is Joint Inference in Information Extraction. Other relevant papers are:
