Liuliu writeup of Bellare 2009

This is a review of Bellare_2009_generalized_expectation_criteria_for_bootstrapping_extractors_using_record_text_alignment by user:Liuliu.

This paper proposed a word alignment CRF model and an extraction CRF model by training on database records and input texts based on expectation criteria.

• What I like:

I like the evaluation part of this paper. They compare their models with lots of other similar models so that we can have a better idea what's their advantages.

• What I don't understand:

I don't quite understand how expectation criteria works in this framework. Hopefully there will be some explanation in the lecture.
