A lot of social network study is about the interaction between entities such as friendship, co-authorship, etc. This paper views the social network data as a set of relational events, each has a sender node and a receiver node with an edge connecting them. Authors try to predicting the rate at which individuals will send and receive events in the future given historical event data.
