Hello, everybody. My name is Yandong Liu, 2nd year Master's student in LTI. You can know more about me at http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~yandongl.

I am most interested in machine learning and data mining, as well as their applications in social media analysis. By taking this course I hope I will get to know the latest advancements in the field of social media analysis, and utilize what I've learned from machine learning courses to explore some interesting ideas that's been on my mind for a while.

I usually program in C/Java/Perl/Python and currently I am quite interested in developing new methods in topic modeling to better analyze text/links from social network datasets.
