Who am I and why am I here?

I am Bhavana Dalvi, first year PhD student in LTI . I will be working on Information Extraction in my PhD research.

Through this course, I am expecting to get knowledge about the basic IE techniques and recent advancements in the area. At the end of the course I will like to see myself in the position to choose right techniques for solving an IE task, and come up with better algorithm where existing ones fail.
