This is Tensor decomposition.

Summary

The PARAFAC or Canonical (CP) decomposition into R components, is the decomposition of N-mode tensor into a sum of R rank one tensors (or alternatively outer products of N-vectors). For instance, the PARAFAC decomposition of a 3-mode tensor is its decomposition to R components, each of which is a triplet of vectors.
